Ancient city of Rome located near Herculaneum was buried by volcanic ash and rocks caused by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Thanks to this, its archaeological remains are preserved in a great state, allowing to observe today, virtually all of its streets, houses, shops, public buildings ... with original frescoes and mosaics.
